A NOTE FROM THE PRESIDENT

Dear Valued Customer:

I wanted to take this opportunity to express my appreciation for all your support these last five years. In the spring of 1999, I had an idea for a Nationwide Document Retrieval Company based in New York City. As I researched and sought feedback, I decided to give it a try. As we like to say at U.S. Document Retrieval Service, Inc. ("U.S."), on a wing and prayer our company was formed.

On April 1, 1999, U.S. started with a mere staff of five working out of the courthouse, with the main office being in my apartment. This core staff, dedicated to quality service against any obstacle, is still with me today. At the outset, U.S. had only four clients, as that was all we were able to service. As a result of their praise and word of mouth, our business grew over that summer and U.S. soon rented a two-room office. By November our client list had tripled. We hired more staff and continued to grow. In that first year we learned about what "Nationwide" really meant as well as the procedures utilized by different states. We hired an accountant and celebrated our first year with drinks at the Roadhouse.

The New Millennium brought many few changes to U.S. Our research orders increased to the extent that full time clerks were needed to handle the accounts receivable and payable, allowing me to remain focused on the service to the clients. U.S. featured a Nationwide Manager as well as a Local Manager, to ensure the quality of our services. Our physical office requirements expanded and we moved to our current location, adding additional phone and fax lines, to increase our accessibility. We celebrated our second year with drinks and appetizers at the Roadhouse.

The year 2001 is still difficult to speak about. Although forced from our offices for an entire month, U.S. overcame the atrocities of 9-11 taking great solace in the fact that our staff members and their families were spared. We grieved at our clients’ losses and assisted anyone wherever we could.

The year 2002, continued to bring changes. Our Nationwide and Local work all increased. U.S. now had a Local Team to deal with the local work. Our staff increased to twenty people. Our home service area extended to include New Jersey. Further, U.S. kept up with technology and began accepting orders by email and electronically transmitting the completed work back to the clients. We celebrated our fourth anniversary with drinks, appetizers and dinner at the Roadhouse.

The year 2003, brought our total staff to twenty-five. U.S. continued to grow in the face of a difficult economy. U.S. began featuring a Nationwide Work Team and a dedicated Billing Manager. U.S. began having monthly office meetings to review quality issues and to aggressively seek avenues for improvement. We celebrated our fifth anniversary with drinks, appetizers, dinner and dessert at the Roadhouse.

This year continues the trend. However, despite all of the changes U.S. has experienced, the constant has always been the commitment that we made five years ago. Our goals and values remain the same, to wit: providing a document retrieval service that puts the client first. U.S is dedicated to being more than merely competent or adequate. Our researchers are expected to go above and beyond the "Call of Duty" and are willing to rise to any challenge, giving at least 110 percent.

I realize that my dream, no matter how well planned or thought out, would not have come true without you. Therefore, I wanted to take this opportunity to say thanks for allowing me the privilege of calling you a friend of U.S. I look forward to working with you in the next five years.

Sincerely,

Robin Pollina-Finkelstein
